The Provider Engagement, Analytics & Reporting (PEAR) portal offers participating providers* a single point of entry to multiple digital tools:

What is PEAR Comprehensive Visit?

PEAR Comprehensive Visit is a point-of-care application that assists primary care providers with accurate documentation of a member's visit, assessment, and treatment plan. This application replaced ePASS®​ assessments for this plan and will be considered the official medical records that document the comprehensive elements of a member encounter including vitals, review of systems, diagnoses, quality measures, and social determinants of health. PEAR Comprehensive Visit has been designed to support the familiar format of a SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) note with logic that offers diagnosis and screening considerations to assist in coordinating care. Please note that the CV form does not replace the need for EMR documentation, but we encourage that the SOAP note (from the Completed CV form) be added to the patient’s medical record.​​

How does PEAR Comprehensive Visit benefit my practice?

The value of PEAR CV:

  • Enables quality patient encounters:​
    • Providers can use PEAR CV printouts with previously identified diagnoses and considerations for care to deliver high quality encounters.
  • Promotes holistic patient care:
    • PEAR CV’s built-in logic produces past chronic diagnosis and screening considerations to enhance care coordination.
    • It displays patient-specific quality measures to address preventive care and other clinical interventions.
    • These elements of the CV form support a greater continuity of care when documenting the patient's wellness encounter.​
    • PEAR CV prompts providers to address non-medical concerns (social determinants) that could impact the patient's health.
  • Helps practices earn incentives:
    • Attested assessments generate SOAP notes, which can be added to eligible patients’ official medical records by printing a hard copy or saving digitally.
    • With a few exceptions, any qualified practice can earn incentives when providers and their staff complete a CV form for eligible patients.​​

What PEAR portal applications are accessible to third-party organization?

As a third-party organization, you can obtain access to PAT and certain transactions in the PEAR Practice Management application.

Provider Administration Tool

PAT is the application that Organization Administrators and Location Administrators use to manage user access to the PEAR portal and its applications.

Once provisioned on the PEAR portal, Organization and Locations Administrators use PAT to manage access to the portal for their organization. Access must be granted by each provider organization to gain access to that provider organization's transactions within PEAR. Organization and Location Administrators' role in PAT includes provisioning End Users and assigning access to third-party provider organizations within PEAR. End Users should contact their third-party administrators directly to get access to the PEAR portal.  ​

PEAR Practice Management

PEAR Practice Management (PEAR PM) is the application that provides a connection point to the plan information and transactions that health care providers use every day in caring for patients. From eligibility checks to referrals and beyond, PEAR PM provides a streamlined and simplified experience through its all-in-one Member Center and the Transactions tab. PEAR PM replaced the NaviNet® web portal (NaviNet Open) for our plans.

PEAR Comprehensive Visit

This is a primary care tool that assists providers with accurately documenting a member's visit, assessment, and treatment plan in one form. This replaced the ePASS®​ tool for this health plan. Third-party organizations can obtain access to PEAR CV in a support staff role to assist primary care providers who may not have the staff to perform administrative tasks in the application. Please note that while third-party organizations can perform administrative tasks in the application, the CV form (or a print-out version) should be used by the provider during point of care with the patient to ensure comprehensive documentation. To gain access to a provider's practice in PEAR CV, please ask the Provider Organization or Location Administrator to call 1-833-444-PEAR (1-833-444-7327). They will not be able to assign access to third-party organizations for PEAR CV using PAT.

Who is eligible for PEAR portal access?

Only participating providers in an AmeriHealth network can obtain access to the PEAR portal.

Participating providers are those who are directly contracted with AmeriHealth Pennsylvania, AmeriHealth New Jersey or AmeriHealth Administrators. The PEAR portal is not currently available to non-participating providers. For additional information, please review the options to contact us​​.

How will my practice get access to the PEAR portal?

Participating providers* can register for the PEAR portal by following the below instructions and ultimately submitting a PEAR portal enrollment form on pearprovider.com.

  1. Review the PEAR portal presentation​, which provides an overview of the registration process and the various roles within the portal.
  2. Identify an Organization Signatory. This is the person in your organization that will make the PEAR portal registration request. If you need to change your Organization Signatory at any point, you can do so by submitting a request via the PEAR Portal Inquiry form​.
  3. Have your Organization Signatory complete and submit a PEAR portal enrollment form, which can be found at pearprovider.com.
  4. Designate up to two Organization Administrators during enrollment. These individuals will have unrestricted access to all licensed materials and license data including value-based arrangements delivered through the portal for your organization.

Please note: Providers are registered for the PEAR portal at the organization or Tax ID level. If your organization is associated with more than one Tax ID, only one registration request for the entire organization is required. If your practice is part of an Integrated Delivery System, please check with your administrative office to see if your organization is already registered. If you are unable to confirm registration, please contact PEAR Support at 1-833-444-PEAR (1-833-444-7327).

How do I get access to the PEAR portal if I'm not an Organization or Location Administrator?

Providers are registered for the PEAR portal at the organization or Tax ID level, not an individual level. Individuals, which are typically portal End Users, need to be given access by their Organization and Location Administrators. If you do not have access and would like to be added, you should reach out to your administrators directly.

Currently, the reports available in PEAR Analytics & Reporting are applicable to those participating primary care practices with a panel size greater than 50 and certain specialists, such as cardiologists, endocrinologists, and nephrologists.

Who at my practice needs access to PEAR Practice Management?

Anyone who currently uses NaviNet Open should obtain access to PEAR Practice Management. If your practice does not currently use NaviNet Open but would like the ease of doing everyday plan transactions electronically, please have your Organization Signatory submit an enrollment request.

Please note: Using PAT, Organization Administrators may provision third-party organizations that provide administrative support for our network providers to use PEAR Practice Management.

Who at my practice needs access to PEAR Comprehensive Visit?

All primary care practices are eligible to use the application unless otherwise notified. Practices with members loaded into their roster are eligible to earn incentives for completing assessments for their eligible patients in PEAR CV.

There are two PEAR CV user roles:

  • Support staff: Support patient scheduling activities, enter patient encounter details in PEAR CV forms, and print PEAR CV forms and SOAP notes. Do not enter the NPI field while provisioning access to support staff.  
  • Credentialed providers: Perform various administrative tasks, including attesting forms for the patients they have seen, which is a required step to complete a CV form and generate a SOAP note. When provisioning access to the credentialed provider responsible for attestation in PEAR CV, you will be prompted to complete the NPI field. It is mandatory that the individual NPI is noted for that credentialed provider and is only used for a single end user. If no NPI is entered, the user will not be permitted to attest in PEAR CV. 

Key points to consider when provisioning access to PEAR CV in the Provider Administration Tool (PAT):

  • Provision all credentialed providers that require access to attesting in PEAR CV.
  • NPI is only required when provisioning credentialed providers.
  • Only Business Administrators and Organization and Location Administrators are permitted to enter or modify an NPI.
  • If you associate PEAR CV with at least one practice for a credentialed provider, you will be prompted to enter their individual NPI.
  • If you are provisioning support staff, do not enter the NPI. Continue with saving provisioning details and the prompt will be bypassed. 
  • Once entered, the NPI will display in the end user account.
  • NPI validation occurs upon End User creation in PAT.

Please note: Access for third-party organizations that provide administrative support for our network providers for PEAR CV is available. Please note that while third-party organizations can perform administrative tasks in the application, the CV form (or a print-out version) should be used by the provider during point of care with the patient to ensure comprehensive documentation. To grant third-party organization access to their practice(s) within PEAR CV, the Provider Organization or Location Administrator should call 1-833-444-PEAR (1-833-444-7327). How do third-party organizations access the PEAR portal?

Access to the Provider Engagement, Analytics, and Reporting (PEAR) portal is granted by designated provider Organization Administrators. If you are a third-party organization that supports participating providers in our network, you will need to follow these steps to gain access:

If your third-party organization is not already provisioned for PEAR, request that the designated Organization Administrators (for each organization you support) establish the required permissions using the dedicated third parties tab in the Provider Administration Tool (PAT). You do not need to contact the plan to be granted access to the PEAR portal. The request for access must come from the provider organization(s) with whom you work.

  1. Once the third-party organization relationship is established, provider organizations can then grant access to select PEAR portal applications for third-party organizations and designate third-party Organization Administrators.
  2. Designated third-party Organization Administrators can then log in to the PEAR portal and use PAT to provision access to End Users in their organization. More information on how to use PAT as a third-party administrator can be found on the PEAR portal Help Center.

Note: If your organization works with multiple providers, you will need to be granted access by each provider organization to see their transactions.​​

How does a third party supporting my provider organization obtain access to the PEAR portal?

The provider Organization Administrator can request access for their supporting third-party organization through the Third Party function offered in the Provider Administration Tool (PAT). At this time, access is limited to the PEAR Practice Management application. Please visit the PEAR Help Center for detailed instructions.​ To grant third-party organization access to their practice(s) within PEAR CV, the Provider Organization or Location Administrator should call 1-833-444-PEAR (1-833-444-7327). Providers will not be able to assign access to third-party organizations for PEAR CV using PAT.

What are the types of PEAR portal users and their roles?

There are four key roles associated with the PEAR portal:

  • An Organization Signatory is the officer or owner of the practice or provider organization who makes the PEAR portal access request on behalf of the organization at the Tax ID level.
  • An Organization Administrator is one of a maximum of two people at the provider organization who has unrestricted access to all licensed materials and license data including value-based arrangements delivered through the PEAR portal for your organization. Organization Administrators are responsible for provisioning access to the PEAR portal and its applications to End Users within the provider organization. Organization Administrators may create unlimited Location Administrators to manage PEAR portal access for one or multiple provider locations.
  • Location Administrators are portal users that manage PEAR portal access at one or more provider locations. Location Administrators can add, remove, or manage End User access for their designated location(s). Only the Organization Administrators can create Location Administrators. There can be unlimited Location Administrators. 

    Together, both Organization and Location Administrators can create unlimited End Users. PEAR portal administrators are responsible for ongoing maintenance of PEAR portal access as required.
  • Portal End Users are those in the practice or facility that are granted access to specific PEAR portal applications and roles as defined by the Organization Administrator or Location Administrator. This can be multiple people within a practice or facility. For application-specific End User roles, see below.​
The Provider Administration Tool (PAT) is used by Organization Administrators and Location Administrators to provision End Users with access to the PEAR portal and its applications, including designating roles within the PEAR portal.

PEAR Comprehensive Visit

There are two PEAR CV user roles:

  • Support Staff (non-credentialed providers):
    • Filter and print eligible patient rosters to support patient scheduling
    • Prepare and print the Pre-visit CV form or Point of Care CV form to enhance the patient encounter
    • Enter the patient encounter details in CV forms, preparing form for the Credentialed Provider's attestation
    • Print SOAP note (from the Completed CV form) for patient's medical record
  • Credentialed Provider* (health plan participating credentialed provider):
    • Perform all administrative tasks
    • Attest forms for patients they have seen, which creates a SOAP note
    • Amend and/or void completed PEAR CV form
*Entering the provider's individual NPI when provisioning for PEAR CV is required to grant them the ability to attest CV forms. 

PEAR Analytics & Reporting

There are three PEAR AR user roles:

  • Clinical: Access to the Population Health dashboard, Population Health reports, and Attributed Member Snapshot for Primary Care Physicians (PCPs).
  • Financial: Access to the Financial dashboard and any financial or incentive program reports published through PEAR AR.
  • Specialist: Has access to reports and dashboards designed for offices and groups with specialties other than Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and PCPs.

What are the roles for third-party organizations?


Third-party organization users may have one of the following roles assigned in the PEAR portal:

Organization Administrator​​

An Organization Administrator of a third-party vendor/subcontractor for a provider organization (e.g., billing company and clearinghouse) who may have limited access to the licensed materials and license data delivered through the PEAR portal for the provider organization(s). This access will be limited in comparison to that of a provider Organization Administrator. The Organization Administrator is responsible for provisioning access to the PEAR portal and its applications to End Users within the third-party organization. This includes provisioning access to the Location Administrators. The Organization Administrator can add, disable, terminate, or edit End-User access for all locations across the third-party organization.

Organization Administrators should visit the PEAR Help Center and log in to review the PAT training for Third Party Organization Administrators user guide for more on their role.

Location Administrator

A portal user that manages PEAR portal access at one or more provider locations. The Location Administrator can add, disable, terminate, or edit End-User access for his/her designated location(s). Only the Organization Administrators can identify Location Administrators. The Location Administrator is an optional role, and there can be unlimited Location Administrators.

End User

​Someone in the organization that is granted access to specific PEAR portal applications and roles by either the third-party Organization Administrator or Location Administrator. There is no limit to the number of End Users that can be created.

Where can I get the latest updates on the PEAR portal and its applications?

Updates to PEAR and its applications are posted in the Notification Center found on the PEAR home page. Messages are flagged by application, plan, and provider type. Registered End Users can customize their view of Notifications by adding filters. Updates may also be sent to affected PEAR users via email

How do I enroll in PEAR?

Participating provi​ders are registered for the PEAR portal at the organization or Tax ID level. If your organization is associated with more than one Tax ID, only one registration request for the entire organization is required. 

Please note: Only participating network providers can obtain PEAR portal access.

How to register for the PEAR portal:

  1. ​Review the Managing Access in PEAR video, which provides you with an overview of PEAR's access management process, managed by your organization through the Provider Administration Tool (PAT).
  2. Identify an Organization Signatory. This is the person in your organization that will make the PEAR portal registration request. If your organization has multiple practices or facilities, please ensure you are coordinating across your practices.
  3. Enroll your organization at the Tax ID level by following the steps in the How to Enroll in the PEAR portal User Guide.
  4. Designate up to two Organization Administrators during enrollment. These individuals will have unrestricted access to all licensed materials and license data including value-based arrangements delivered through the portal for your organization.
  5. For Integrated Delivery Systems* or large groups with multiple TINs, please submit an enrollment request via the PEAR Portal Inquiry form. For all other organizations, please have your Organization Signatory complete and submit a PEAR portal enrollment form at pearprovider.com . ​
