In October 2019, AmeriHealth announced the new Provider Engagement Analytics and Reporting (PEAR) portal for participating providers. The PEAR portal provides fast, secure web access to applications designed to help you manage your clinical and certain financial activities. In addition, it is a vehicle for you to obtain a variety of health plan information, specific to your organization, about providing care for AmeriHealth membership. The first PEAR portal application introduced was the new provider reporting tool, IndexPro.

Our new article series, The Benefits of IndexPro, offers tips and information on how to use the reports and information on IndexPro as a supplement to the care you give to your patients, our members.

About IndexPro

IndexPro is an online, self-service, and on-demand reporting tool for providers in the AmeriHealth network. Through IndexPro, providers have access to timely data, including clinical care gaps (e.g., colorectal cancer screening, mammography, diabetic care, etc.), and actionable incentive program reports, delivered through a secure web connection. This centralized site allows providers to review and compare their performance to their peers and identify gaps in care and opportunities for improvement. IndexPro also provides a variety of practice-level reports and dashboards to show a real-time view of data specific to your practice or entity.

Tip of the week! Use IndexPro for disease management in patients

Throughout the course of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, your patients may have missed some preventive care visits. Unfortunately, patients with certain health conditions may be more at-risk for developing COVID-19. You can use the IndexPro disease management feature, to easily identify patients diagnosed with high-risk conditions and prioritize outreach and scheduling to help to ensure continual preventive care.

If you already have access to IndexPro, you can find this graph on the Overview screen in the Population Health section. To view a breakdown of the costs associated with these conditions and your patient population, select Disease Management from the left-hand navigation.

If you don’t have access, register for the PEAR portal by following the registration instructions located here. Note: If your practice is part of an Integrated Delivery System, you will need to contact your PEAR Organization Administrator for additional information.
