At Independence, we're 75 years strong and still changing the game — working hard to enhance the health and wellness of the people and communities we serve. This means offering the right technology, tools, and processes — which is why we decided to migrate to a new operating platform managed and operated by Highmark Health Services (Highmark), an independent company ("new platform"). The new platform will offer greater capabilities, increased flexibility in benefit design, and enhanced functionalities to improve the customer experience. The migration of our membership to the new platform began in November 2013 and will continue into 2015.
We created this section of our website —
Business Transformation — to assist you in understanding and preparing for this transformation. Independence is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for our customers and other stakeholders and will maintain updated news and information related to the transition. We encourage you to visit this site frequently to keep abreast of the upcoming changes and review more specific details as they become available.
