Encourage follow-up care for your pediatric patients taking an ADHD medication

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that parents of children receiving medication for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) follow three important tips regarding follow-up care:

  1. Keep talking about meds.
  2. Track your child’s progress.
  3. Be patient and flexible.
