As they are migrated to our new operating platform, IBC members will
have access to a new suite of Healthy Lifestyles programs, called Healthy
LifestylesSM Solutions. Please note that many of the same popular
programs
that currently fall under the Health Lifestyles umbrella will still be
offered.
These changes go into effect for members upon migration to the
new platform.
Highlights of what is changing include the following:
- Our fitness, weight management, and tobacco cessation programs will be
managed and administered by a third-party vendor.
- Safety reimbursements (e.g., bike helmets, first aid, and CPR classes) and
parenting class reimbursements (e.g., childbirth preparation, lactation,
sibling) will no longer be offered.
- Reimbursements for maternity services (e.g., lactation consultation,
rental/purchase of breast pump) are now covered through women's
preventive care through Health Care Reform. Therefore, they will no
longer be offered under the Healthy Lifestyles programs.
Please keep in mind that, until all membership is migrated to the new
platform in mid-2015, you may have patients with the same IBC health
plan who have access to different Healthy Lifestyles programs. In 2015,
all members will have access to the new Health Lifestyles Solutions.
Members will be notified of these changes prior to their migration to the
new platform. Members can contact Customer Service at the number
on the back of their ID card to learn more about the programs that are
available to them.
