The introduction of the AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network, a subset of our Preferred Network, is one of many efforts to provide cost-effective health coverage to individuals and small employer groups who may have trouble affording health care. This network meets access and quality standards for our members, but the lower price point makes health insurance more affordable to members and helps them to better manage health care costs and avoid out-of-pocket expenses by choosing Value Network providers. The AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network plans offer the same benefits program that AmeriHealth New Jersey offers through other plans but with a select network of providers, allowing the premiums to be lower than current AmeriHealth New Jersey rates. This network is comprised of only New Jersey-based physicians, hospitals, and ancillary providers. To verify member eligibility, providers should look for "Value Network" printed on the ID cards for Value Network members. The Value Network is available with HMO, HMO Plus, POS Plus, EPO, PPO, HSA, and all coinsurance plans. [

]Participating AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network providers[

] Primary care physicians (PCP) in the AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network should only issue referrals to specialists who are participating in the AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network. A list of participating providers can be found online by using the Provider Finder tool. Follow these steps: Go to the AmeriHealth website's home page. Select Find a Provider at the top of the AmeriHealth web. Select the first option for Find Participating Doctors, Hospitals and Ancillary Providers. Select Provider Type, then select Next. Select the specialty type you're looking for, then select Next. Enter your criteria for location and plan preference (be sure to select Value Network plan). [

]Nonparticipating AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network providers[

] AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network HMO members do not have out-of-network benefits. To avoid service and claims processing issues, it is important that your office staff and AmeriHealth New Jersey members are aware of your nonparticipating status in the AmeriHealth New Jersey Value Network.
