AmeriHealth has selected BriovaRxTM as our exclusive specialty
pharmacy provider. BriovaRxTM supplies specialty medication eligible
under the member's prescription drug benefit through the Direct Ship Specialty
Pharmacy Program (administered by FutureScripts®).
Examples of commonly prescribed specialty medications fall into some of the
following therapeutic categories:
- Crohn?s disease and ulcerative colitis
- growth hormones and related disorders
- multiple sclerosis
- rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis
Members currently utilizing a specialty medication will receive a letter
notifying them of this change. Members on specialty medications should call
BriovaRxTM at 1-855-4BRIOVA (1-855-427-4682) to enroll. Patient Care Coordinators are
available at BriovaRxTM to guide members through the enrollment
process.
If necessary, providers who recently prescribed specialty medications to
AmeriHealth members may be contacted by BriovaRxTM to obtain a new
prescription prior to dispensing the medication to the member.
Providers who are considering beginning an AmeriHealth member on a new
specialty medication therapy should call BriovaRxTM at 1-855-4BRIOVA 1-855-427-4682 to
enroll the member.
