​Change Healthcare, an independent company, has made updates to the InterQual® Criteria for 2024.

Beginning January 29, 2024, the Utilization Management department at AmeriHealth HMO, Inc., and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth), and AmeriHealth Administrators will use the 2023 InterQual® Criteria for review of Adult Acute Care, Pediatric Acute Care, Long-term Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, Home Care, and selected Inpatient Procedures.

AmeriHealth Administrators will also use the 2023 InterQual® Criteria for Imaging.

In addition, AmeriHealth and AmeriHealth Administrators will go live with the Behavioral Health Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry criteria, the Behavioral Health Child and Adolescent Psychiatry criteria, and ASAM® Criteria Powered by InterQual with the ASAM 4th Edition.
