​AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth) would like to remind providers that depression screenings are eligible for reimbursement above the capitated rate when HCPCS code G0444 is used.

Depression screenings are critical for early detection and treatment, which can significantly improve patient outcomes. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends these screenings for all adults, including pregnant and postpartum individuals and older adults (65 and older).

Behavioral health services

If your patient (our member) is diagnosed with depression, AmeriHealth offers Care Navigation services to connect members to care in less than 7 days.

A key element in guiding members to the right care is the Connect to Care provider network. These providers offer fast access to care and track clinical outcomes. Our Care Navigators directly schedule appointments for members, ensuring a seamless connection to care. Each month over 20,000 appointments are available for AmeriHealth members.

The Connect to Care providers are available for children, adolescents, and adults, offering support for general mental health, substance use disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and more.
