AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth) and AmeriHealth Administrators will be transitioning Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Utilization Management (UM) and Case Management (CM) for Behavioral Health (BH) services to the AmeriHealth Care Management teams. After this transition, all BH services will be managed by AmeriHealth.
This change aligns with our mission to promote whole person health by ensuring access to high-quality care and delivering integrated case management services.
Additionally, for products that include an Out-of-Area (OOA) benefit, these services will be transitioning from Magellan's network to the OOA network offered under the Plans' Medical Benefits.
These changes will be effective as follows:
Effective dates and impact:
- January 1, 2026
- AmeriHealth (in New Jersey): ABA UM and CM services.
- All AmeriHealth business with OOA benefits: OOA BH network transitions from Magellan Network to the Medical OOA network.
- April 1, 2026
- AmeriHealth (in Pennsylvania) and AmeriHealth Administrators: All ABA UM and CM services.
