AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth) have updated the following Billing Sections of the Provider and Hospital Manuals:
- Provider Manual (Pennsylvania and New Jersey): Section 9
- Hospital Manual (New Jersey only): Sections 9 and 10
Updates to the manuals include:
- AmeriHealth has clarified its timely filing guidelines, which require claims to be filed within 365 days from the date of service, in all manuals.
- AmeriHealth now uses the Stream Clearinghouse by Smart Data Solutions for EDI transactions.
- AmeriHealth has updated the policy on reimbursement for preoperative exams for outpatient surgery.
