​​​​AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth) will begin managing the documentation process for behavioral health providers who are scheduled for recredentialing beginning May 2024. Previously, recredentialing was managed by Magellan Healthcare, Inc.

Each month, AmeriHealth will mail letters to in-network behavioral health providers who are due for recredentialing, outlining the steps required. This includes visiting www.caqh.org to update and re-attest your application. With clear instructions and six months advance notice, we seek to ensure a smooth and seamless recredentialing for all behavioral health providers.

Secure portal and electronic connectivity

AmeriHealth reminds all behavioral health providers to register for electronic funds transfer (EFT) connectivity and the Provider Engagement, Analytics & Reporting (PEAR) portal. Follow the steps below to get set up.

• PEAR portal. The PEAR portal provides fast, secure web access with a single sign on to multiple applications designed to help you manage your clinical and certain financial activities. In addition, it is a vehicle for you to obtain a variety of health plan information specific to your provider organization as it relates to providing care for AmeriHealth membership. • Electronic claim submission and electronic remittance advice. Starting in November 2023, AmeriHealth is transitioning Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions to a new vendor: Smart Data Solutions (SDS) Stream Clearinghouse. To learn more, visit the EDI webpage.

• EFT. All participating providers must register and maintain EFT capability for the payment of claims and capitation. An individual who is authorized to access and maintain banking information for your organization can register for EFT by visiting the EFT Resources page for instructions.
