​Effective January 1, 2026, all Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for fully insured AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey (collectively, AmeriHealth) members will be managed by the AmeriHealth Care Management team instead of Magellan.

For all requests with a date of service on or after January 1, 2026, providers must use the AmeriHealth ABA prior authorization form for fully insured AmeriHealth members. For all other ABA authorizations — including those for members who are not fully insured — providers should continue to submit requests to Magellan using the Magellan authorization forms and requirements until April 1, 2026.

What's new for ABA providers?

• As of January 1, 2026, you must use the AmeriHealth ABA prior authorization form (find it under “Provider forms: New Jersey – Claims Requirements and Communications") to submit requests.
• Fax the completed form and all supporting documents to 215-238-2500.
