​AmeriHealth Administrators has updated Medical Policy #09.00.49m: Proton Beam Radiation Therapy effective for dates of service on or after July 5, 2022. The updated policy states that coverage position for prostate cancer for both unoperated and postoperative prostate cancers will be considered not medically necessary effective July 5, 2022.
