​Effective May 2021, AmeriHealth New Jersey will remove the capitation compensation model from managed care benefit programs for short-term rehabilitation therapy services in the following New Jersey counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Salem, and Ocean.

As a result, HMO and POS members with a PCP located in New Jersey are free to see any participating provider in the expanded service area on a fee-for-service basis starting in May. Members will no longer be required to use the specialist designated by their primary care physician for physical and/or occupational therapy.

Review your current provider roster and submit any changes through the online Provider Change Request form.
