Highmark will restructure the electronic claims acknowledgement transaction (277CA). The 277CA transaction provides claim level acknowledgement of all claims received electronically.

Beginning October 16, 2020, responses from the 277CA transaction will be bundled as they are returned to the practice management or hospital billing system.

Highmark recently shared details of the proposed change with all trading partners via email.  AmeriHealth encourages you to share this information with your billing agents (Trading Partner/Clearinghouse).
