Updates to free meters as part of the Blood Glucose Meter Program for commercial members

On January 1, 2020, AmeriHealth changed the preferred test strips for diabetic care for commercial members to the OneTouch Verio^® test strips. With this change, a free OneTouch Verio^® or OneTouch Verio Flex^® meter was offered. AmeriHealth was recently informed that the OneTouch Verio^® meter is no longer produced.

Free meters for members

Effective immediately, AmeriHealth will offer the following three meters at no cost to commercial members with a physician prescription:

OneTouch Verio Flex^®
OneTouch Verio Reflect^®
OneTouch Ultra Flex^®

We recognize that you are best qualified to choose the most appropriate blood glucose meter for your patients. Please review these meter options with your diabetic patients.
